Airport runway
Project Overview
Airport runway pavements bear the impact and taxiing loads of large aircraft takeoffs and landings over the long term, placing extremely high demands on concrete's impact resistance, fatigue resistance, and weather resistance. Adding steel fibers to runway pavement, apron, and taxiway concrete can significantly improve the pavement's impact resistance and fatigue resistance, reduce slab cracking and fracture, and extend runway service life.
Steel Fiber Solutions
It is recommended to use single hooked-end or sheared steel fibers, with fiber lengths of 30-60mm and dosage of 30-60kg/m³. Hooked-end steel fibers have strong anchoring force and are suitable for bearing aircraft impact loads; sheared steel fibers disperse evenly and are cost-effective, making them suitable for large-area runway paving.
Application Advantages
Improved Impact Resistance
Pavement impact resistance is increased by 3-5 times, effectively withstanding aircraft takeoff and landing impacts.
Enhanced Fatigue Resistance
The number of fatigue cycles is significantly increased, extending runway service life.
Crack Control
Reduces runway slab cracking and fracture, lowering repair frequency.
Weather Resistance
Improves pavement weather resistance, adapting to extreme temperature differences and freeze-thaw cycles.
