Highway
Project Overview
Highway pavement concrete is subjected to repeated vehicle loads and natural environmental erosion over the long term, making it prone to fatigue cracks, slab fractures, and faulting. Adding steel fibers to pavement concrete can significantly improve the flexural strength, impact resistance, and fatigue resistance of the pavement, extend its service life, and reduce maintenance frequency and costs.
Steel Fiber Solution
It is recommended to use single hooked-end or sheared steel fibers, with a fiber length of 30-60mm and a dosage of 30-50kg/m³. Hooked-end steel fibers have excellent anchoring performance, providing stronger pull-out resistance in pavement concrete; sheared steel fibers are cost-effective and uniformly dispersed, making them suitable for large-area pavement paving construction.
Application Advantages
Improved Flexural Strength
Pavement concrete flexural strength is increased by 20-30%, effectively resisting vehicle impact and temperature stress.
Enhanced Fatigue Resistance
Fatigue cycles are increased by more than 5 times, extending pavement service life by 10-15 years.
Crack Control
Reduces pavement cracks and slab fractures, lowering maintenance and repair frequency and costs.
Driving Comfort
Pavement smoothness is long-lasting, reducing faulting and slab fractures, enhancing driving safety and comfort.
