Hydropower station
Project Overview
Hydraulic structures of hydropower stations are subjected to high-velocity water flow scouring, cavitation, and dynamic loads over the long term, placing extremely high demands on concrete's resistance to scouring, cavitation, and seismic performance. The use of steel fiber reinforced concrete in spillway slabs, diversion tunnel linings, dam body reinforcement, and other locations can significantly improve the structure's scouring resistance and seismic capacity, extending the project's service life.
Steel Fiber Solutions
Milled or shear-cut steel fibers are recommended, with fiber lengths of 30-50mm and dosage of 25-45kg/m³. Milled steel fibers are directly milled from steel ingots, featuring a rough surface and twisted cross-section, providing strong bonding with the cement matrix, making them suitable for high-velocity water flow scouring environments; shear-cut steel fibers disperse evenly, making them suitable for large-area hydraulic structure construction.
Application Advantages
Improved Scouring Resistance
Concrete scouring resistance improved by 2-3 times, effectively resisting high-velocity water flow scouring.
Enhanced Cavitation Resistance
Steel fibers restrain micro-crack propagation, improving concrete's cavitation resistance.
Seismic Improvement
Dam structure seismic performance is improved, enhancing the overall safety margin of the project.
Extended Maintenance Cycle
Reduces repair and maintenance cycles for hydraulic structures, lowering operation and maintenance costs.
