Tunnel through mountains
Project Overview
In tunnel engineering, shotcrete is the primary support method. Adding steel fibers to shotcrete can effectively improve the impact resistance, crack resistance, and impermeability of the lining layer, reduce the occurrence of shrinkage cracks, and improve the overall stress conditions of the cavern structure. Steel fiber reinforced shotcrete technology has been widely used in highway tunnels, railway tunnels, subway intervals, and hydraulic tunnels, with mature technology and high construction efficiency.
Steel Fiber Solutions
It is recommended to use shear-type or milled-type steel fibers, with a fiber length of 30-50mm, an aspect ratio of 40-60, and a dosage of 20-40kg/m³. Shear-type steel fibers have a regular shape and good dispersibility, making them suitable for wet spraying processes; milled-type steel fibers have a rough surface and strong bonding force, making them suitable for tunnel primary support and secondary lining structures with higher requirements for bonding performance.
Application Advantages
Improved Impact Resistance
The impact resistance of steel fiber reinforced concrete is 3-5 times higher than that of plain concrete, effectively resisting blasting vibration and surrounding rock stress release.
Crack Control
Shrinkage cracks are reduced by more than 60%, the integrity of the lining layer is enhanced, and the risk of leakage is greatly reduced.
Low Spray Rebound
The rebound rate of fibers during spraying is low, material utilization is high, and construction costs are reduced.
Extended Durability
The durability of the lining structure is significantly extended, reducing the frequency of later maintenance and reinforcement.
